Ayesha Takia Biography
Ayesha Takia was born on April 10, 1986 in Mumbai and grew up there. Her father Nishit is a Gujarati and mother Faridah, an anglo-Indian Muslim, she is the elder among two daughters. Ayesha attended St. Anthony's High School but never went to college because she entered the world of entertainment at very young age. Ayesha grew up speaking English at home and she worked hard to learn Hindi and Telugu for her roles in movies.
Ayesha's favorite actors from childhood are Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Her favorite actresses are Sridevi and Rani Mukherji. She finds that there are many good directors but she has always liked Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
She is a vegetarian, and enjoys going for long drives, reading, spending time with family, amongst others.This beautiful talented young girl started her career at the age 17. In her first year of her career, she won the Filmfare Best Debut Award 2004 for her performance in Tarzan: The Wonder Car and Dil Maange More. She became a favorite amongst youngsters through the portrayal of her movies such as Socha Na Tha and multi-starrer Shaadi No.1. In 2006, Ayesha Takia was amongst the Top Ten on the listing of India's 50 Most Desirable Women Alive, a poll conducted by Zoom, an Indian TV channel.

Ayesha Takyia won the Filmfare best debutant award in 2004 for her performance in "Taarzan". After that Ayesha acted in many films but most of them were unsuccessful at the box office. Ayisha Takia beautifully essayed the role of a young widow of Rajasthan living in a traditional joint family in the film "Dor". She was highly praised for her work in this film and went on to win Zee cine critics award for best actress. At present Ayesha is working in a number of films and some of her upcoming movies are-" Sehar Thaper, Blood Brothers ".
