Raveena Tandon is one busy actress these days. At the age of 37, she is quite upbeat about her second round in Bollywood.
Raveena was last seen in Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap where she played Kamini, an old flame of the aging hitman Vijju Bbuddah played by Amitabh Bachchan. Although the film bombed at the box office, Raveena was praised by the critics for her performance. Call it a chain reaction if you want, Raveena has landed some more films in her kitty, following her stint in the Bachchan starrer.
"For now I have signed three films, one is almost complete. It is called Gin Liya Aasman. It is a beautiful love story based on the relationship of a mother and child. This film is bilingual, in Marathi and Hindi. And since I was born and brought up in Maharashtra, I can speak Marathi well. But for Gin Liya Aasman, I was supposed to use that Marathi, hence I had to practice on that," Raveena gushed. The film is slated for a mid 2012 release.
Apart from this bilingual film, the actress gave updates about her other projects too. "There is another film, Shovna Seven Nights which is again a love story. It is about the dark, underbelly of Mumbai. And the third film will start in March, which is untitled as of now, so can't say much about it," she said.
Raveena made a name for herself by playing the female lead in a number of hit Bollywood masala flicks. She is best remembered for the song Cheez badi hai mast mast from the film Mohra and the no brainer comedies with Govinda in the 1990s.
